What is a contour thread lift?

Contour Thread Lift

An excellent alternative to more invasive face and/or brow lift surgeries is the relatively new Contour Thread Lift. This procedure involved a tiny slit in the skin, through which the thread -- covered with evenly spaced barbed sutures -- is inserted. The barbs shift the sagging skin upward, resulting in a more natural look.

The procedure requires a mere three weeks of restricted facial movements. Sleeping on your back is a good way to ensure you do not dislodge the sutures. As with any surgery, there will be some swelling and pain, but this can be diminished with Tylenol and ice packs as needed. Contour Thread Lifts typically last 3 to 5 years.
