May 11, 2007, Newsletter Issue #64: Obesity and Gynecomastia

1

Tip of the Week

If you're a McDonald's junkie with one or both breasts enlarged and you're a guy, do two things: Rent Morgan Spurlock's movie "Super Size Me." Toss your cookies, then hit the gym.

We're not advocating male bulimia. We're advocating sensible male weight loss. If you're considering gynecomastia treatment and you're overweight, forget the cost of gynecomastia surgery, which can be $3,000. You'll need to lose weight through a sensible diet and exercise regimen.

It's worth noting that men who are too thin can also develop gynecomastia, so if you're anorexic or bulimic or wasting away because of disease, do two things:Get medical treatment for the condition. Consult your doctor about gynecomastia treatment.

After all, you really don't want to look like Ronald McDonald...or Grimace, the purple monster.
