If everyone teased you about the size of your breasts in high school and you're a guy, you probably suffer from gynecomastia. If so, let's hope you have some supportive female friends who can help you find gynecomastia treatment, especially since your brother and father still rib you. Gynecomastia simply means that men have an excess of breast tissue, literally, "breasts like a woman." You're probably among the 40 to 60 percent of men who have it.
The cures for gynecomastia depend on the cause. Normally among adolescent boys, one in four males will have gynecomastia because of those pesky hormone changes. Usually, gynecomastia disappears on its own before you enter college. If it doesn't...well, you know all about that. While you're dealing with your gynecomastia and gynecomastia treatment, don't be ashamed.
In many cases, you might not have caused it--thyroid, tumor and liver diseases can make you develop this condition. If you treat the underlying condition, your breasts will probably shrink. If not, you may have to consider gynecomastia surgery.
